Lookbook No. 01

We do not ask children to hold still for the brand.

The cloth is on the table, or a dress is on a stand. We do not ask a child to hold still for the shutter.

Founded in Calgary

Oyindamola Akinwande founded nosis&kin around a simple belief: children can be beautifully dressed without being asked to become still life.

Oyindamola Akinwande, Founder

“We dress the years that move quickly, and the people who hold them.”

A shared point of view

Not matching. Belonging.

The collection was made to sit together in a family photograph without asking everyone to dress alike. A repeated texture here, a warm tone there, and room for each person to remain themselves.

The atelier send

A box worth pausing for.

Four small acts turn delivery into welcome. Each one is done by hand in Calgary.

01 · The keepsake

The house box.

Purposeful, tactile, and made to stay in the family long after the ribbon is untied.

The first thing you touch is not an afterthought. Our kraft box is selected for its warm hand feel and sturdy shape. It becomes a place for photographs, first shoes, small letters, and the things a family decides are worth keeping.

02 · The fold

Tissue, placed slowly.

The garment is checked, folded, and settled into tissue.

03 · The note

Written in your words.

For gifts, the note is written by hand. A birthday, a welcome, a short thank you. The words stay yours.

The Mabel Dress, a patch pocket with a ruffled edge and a pearl button.

04 · The house mark

A small house seal closes the tissue. The mark is pressed last, when everything has been checked and the parcel is ready to leave our hands.

“Every parcel is checked, wrapped, and sealed by hand in Calgary.”

Send it beautifully

Choose house wrapping, add a handwritten note, and let the atelier prepare the rest.

01

Birthday

A bright ribbon, your note, and a box ready for the morning table.

02

Welcome

A gentle welcome for a growing family, sent directly or held until the right date.

03

Just because

No occasion required. Some gifts simply say that someone was thought of.

The house

Family is the first design language.

Founded in Calgary by Oyindamola Akinwande, nosis&kin dresses connection, comfort, and self-expression.

A watercolor-print dress, on a stand. Not one of the six named pieces.

Our beginning

Clothes for the people standing beside us.

The house began with a family wardrobe and a question. What if occasion clothing could feel as natural as the people wearing it?

Approachable, yet elevated.

Refined form without the stiffness. Details that invite a closer look, not a louder room.

Playful, yet composed.

Clothes with poise and enough freedom for the movement that makes childhood itself.

Local, yet expansive.

Designed and fulfilled in Calgary, made for family lives wherever they unfold.

House cloth

Beautiful at first touch. Dependable after.

A special piece should still belong to a child. We choose cloth with softness, structure, and the life after the photograph in mind.

Honest clothFibre content is printed with each piece before it is sold. Nothing here is claimed as organic.
FinishingLinings, bindings, and closures. Confirmed on the piece, not in the caption.
Made to be keptCare instructions come with the garment.

Designed in Calgary

Winter light. Warm rooms. Clothes with somewhere to go.

We know the quick change from formal gathering to ordinary afternoon. The coat lands on a chair. The good dress sees the kitchen. The child runs outside. Our clothes are designed for the whole rhythm, not only its polished frame.

Oyindamola Akinwande

The house promise

Refined enough for the portrait. Soft enough for the day after.

The house journal

Stories from the years that move quickly.

Notes from the house. All six Heirloom pieces are photographed. The other photographs here are cloth we have, not a campaign.

Growing Moments

We do not ask children to hold still for the brand. A field note on movement, crooked hems, and the pictures families keep.

How the box is packed

The unboxing. Box, tissue, note, seal.

A sage tulle dress, laid flat. Not one of the six named pieces.

Not the collection

This photograph is cloth we have. It is not one of the six pieces. The clothes are for children, sizes 0Y to 12Y.

A watercolor-print dress, on a stand. Not one of the six named pieces.

The Family Portrait, Loosened

Dress for belonging, not perfect matching. The strongest family pictures leave room for difference.

The Mabel Dress, a patch pocket with a ruffled edge and a pearl button.

What makes a piece worth keeping?

It begins with the hand of the cloth, but it lasts because of comfort, memory, and the life a garment is allowed to have.
