The occasionwear guide
Christening and First Communion.
Baptism is often under 2. First Communion is often 7 or 8. Both sit inside 0Y to 12Y. A piece for this day is often the one a family keeps.

What is measured
Body bands published so far are labels 100 to 130, about 2Y to 7Y. A child under that, including a baby of a few months, is outside the measurements we have printed. So is a child over 7, until those bands are published.
Write with length and chest. If we cannot dress that child, we will say so. The letter is not an order. We will not put a child in a size we have not measured. Size guide.
A boy
We do not cut a traditional long christening gown, for a girl or a boy. A boy wears a shirt and waistcoat, or a suit, if the cloth suits the room.
The Harlan Set. The Soren Set. The Miles Tuxedo. Not priced yet. If you want one, write, and we will say when it is priced. The letter does not reserve it.
Colour, and what is kept
Many families want white or ivory for a baptism, or a colour that already belongs to them. We do not dye to order. Ivory on the rail is the Eloise Dress. Cream and white, if we have them, are in the collection. If the cloth is not the colour you need, write. We will say if we have it.
We do not frame the piece, and we do not promise it will fit a sibling. The cloth should still be worth keeping after the day.
The ceremony
It is long. Choose a piece the child can sit in, stand in, and walk in. A skirt that needs two hands is the wrong piece. The same is true of a jacket he will fight in a warm room.
We do not publish a count of weeks. Orders are not open. If the date is soon, write today.
